Vanilla beans and extract contain powerful antioxidants, including vanillin and vanillic acid, which work to protect your body from free radicals and toxins. Vanillin's antioxidant, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties make it a "super spice" to incorporate into your diet.
Vanilla beans are also a good source of B vitamins and contain trace amounts of magnesium, manganese, calcium, and potassium. These nutrients can help regulate blood pressure, regulate the nervous system, and contribute to bone health.
