- For the chicken I rubbed it with Two Snooty Chef's Oaxaca Mole rub and slow cooked it in a crock pot on low for 8 hours (I used a 10 lb whole chicken). I let it cool and then "pulled" it and stirred in the Green Fire Roasted Sauce from Bunches and Bunches. This is a great recipe to use on tacos, enchiladas, burritos ; or make a Mexican inspired salad or pot pie using the chicken. The uses are endless and Bunches and Bunches also has 2 other great sauces: Red Dried Chilaca Mole Sauce and Smoked Oaxacan Mole Sauce. All the sauces are great on beef and pork; can be used in chills or stews and will liven up vegetarian dishes also.

- It's that time of year where abundance inspires pickling and jarring. And I have been inspired by Sour Puss, a pickling company from Brooklyn! I have been in my own kitchen pickling avocados, cherry peppers, cucumbers, carrots, green peppers, watermelon, and jalapeños; and I even have jarred fresh tomatoes from Beach View Farms in Manahawkin! My inspiration is from Sour Puss so today we offer their pickled scapes and their spiced green tomatoes.
